When people walk past our Cambridge studio or see videos online and see clients moving with confidence: lifting, lunging and jumping, it’s easy to assume they must have been fit before they started. But here’s the truth: most of them started right where you are now.
At Āhua Studio, we don’t expect perfection. We don’t expect peak fitness. We expect real people... Tired parents, busy professionals, people returning from injury or those who’ve never really felt comfortable in a gym, ready to do something good for themselves.
Fitness is built, not required
You don’t get fit to start. You get fit by starting. Our sessions are designed to meet you where you’re at. Whether you’re brand new to training, rebuilding strength after an injury or looking to move with more confidence.
Āhua Studio is led by our Director and Physiotherapist, Elise Badger, who brings years of experience helping clients move safely and effectively through injury recovery and long-term strength development. With her background in physiotherapy and functional movement, every class at Āhua Studio is shaped by an understanding of how the body works and how to train it well.
Trained instructors who adapt to you
Every instructor in our team is trained to provide alternative exercises and modifications for all fitness levels and abilities. That means if you’re working around a past injury, building back your strength or just finding your rhythm, we’ll adapt the session so it’s right for your body.
Small classes, personal attention
Our small group sizes are one of the things that make training at Āhua Studio so different. They feel more like personal training. Every session has an extra layer of care, attention and encouragement. You’ll never be left unsure of what to do or pushed beyond what’s safe. Instead, you’ll be supported to move well, gain confidence and celebrate every milestone along the way.
We start with a conversation
When you join Āhua Studio, you’ll receive a personal phone call from our team. We like to take the time to chat through any questions or hesitations you might have and to understand your fitness background, goals and any past injuries. That way, when you walk in for your first class, we already know how to help you feel comfortable, confident and cared for.
It’s about feeling good, not just looking fit
When you move consistently and with care, you’ll notice the difference. You'll have more energy in the day, better sleep, stronger posture, fewer niggles and a clearer mind. The goal isn’t to look a certain way; it’s to feel strong, capable and connected to your body again. We are training for longevity.
So if you’ve been waiting to “get fit first,” don’t. Just start, we’ll take care of the rest.
