Studio Waiver and Release of Liability

By engaging in any class at Āhua Studio, I acknowledge and agree to the following terms in consideration of being allowed to participate in classes, sessions, and activities offered by Āhua Studio (“the Studio”), located at 32 Victoria St, Cambridge.

1. Acknowledgement of Risk
I understand that participation in physical fitness classes, including but not limited to reformer Pilates, strength training, and HIIT-based sessions, involves inherent risks. These may include, but are not limited to:
- Muscle soreness
- Physical injury
- Exacerbation of existing health conditions
I voluntarily assume full responsibility for any risks, injuries, or damages that I may sustain as a result of my participation.

2. Medical Clearance
I confirm that I am physically able to participate in exercise activities and have either:
- Obtained medical clearance from a qualified healthcare provider, or
- Voluntarily assume the risk without such clearance.
I will inform the Studio of any medical conditions, injuries, or concerns that may affect my participation.

3. Waiver and Release
I hereby release, discharge, and hold harmless the Studio, its owners, instructors, contractors, and affiliates from any and all claims, demands, or causes of action arising out of or connected with my participation in any Studio activity.

4. Cancellation and Attendance Policy
I agree to adhere to the Studio’s cancellation policy, which includes providing at least 8 hours’ notice to retain my credit. I understand that late cancellations may result in forfeiting my session unless it is an emergency, in which case I agree to notify the Studio or instructor as soon as possible.

5. Photography
From time to time, the studio may capture photos or videos during classes for use on social media. By participating, you acknowledge and consent to this. If you do not wish to be included in any photos or footage, please inform the studio in writing or speak to your instructor prior to class and you will be excluded from any footage.

6. Acknowledgment
By signing below, I acknowledge that I have read and understood this waiver, and I agree to the terms voluntarily. I understand that this waiver remains in effect for all current and future participation at the Studio.

Studio Membership Terms & Conditions

Please read the following terms carefully before signing up for a membership at Āhua Studio. By becoming a member, you agree to the following conditions:

1. Membership and Billing
- Memberships are billed fortnightly.
- Each billing cycle includes a set number of class credits.
- Unused credits roll over for 7 days after the end of the billing cycle. Any credits not used in that time will expire and do not roll over further.
- Each membership includes one guest pass per billing cycle, which may be used for a new client to the studio only.
- Memberships are non-transferable and cannot be shared.

2. Payment and Booking
- If a payment is declined, the system will retry after 2 days, and then twice more over the following week.
- If payment is unsuccessful after these attempts, all future bookings will be removed until the outstanding balance is cleared.

3. Studio Etiquette
- Our bathroom is in a shared premises—please use it with courtesy and care.
- We are a family-friendly studio, but for everyone’s safety:
- Children must be kept away from all equipment, including (but not limited to) reformers, dumbbells, and props.
- Studio staff, owners, and instructors are not responsible for supervising children. Children remain the sole responsibility of their caregiver.
- Any risk posed to the child or others due to their presence in the studio is considered a safety issue.

4. Attendance and Safety
- Please arrive with enough time to set up and prepare for your class.
- If you have any injuries or concerns, please inform your instructor with sufficient time before class begins.
- It is the client’s responsibility to ensure the instructor is aware of any injuries, conditions, or issues. It is at the instructor’s discretion whether a client is safe to participate.

5. Class Changes and Cancellations
The studio reserves the right to:
- Cancel classes due to low numbers or instructor unavailability
- Change class times when necessary due to instructor availability.
All efforts will be made to notify you in advance, and affected credits will be returned to your account.
The studio closes over the summer holiday period for approximately 2 weeks. All memberships are paused over this time. 

6. Membership Term and Cancellations
- Memberships are a 6-month commitment, unless otherwise stated. 
- Early cancellations require 28 days’ notice, and no refunds are given for unused time or credits.
- Memberships may be temporarily paused for a minimum of 2 weeks for medical reasons or travel, with supporting evidence provided.
