How often am I billed for my membership?

Memberships are billed on a fortnightly cycle.

What happens to my unused class credits at the end of a cycle?

Your unused credits will roll over for 7 days after your billing cycle ends. If they aren’t used within that 7-day grace period, they will expire and cannot be rolled over again. To make sure you utilise your rollover credits, choose "credits" instead of Membership when making your booking. This way unused credits will never really expire and if you happen to miss a week you can catch those sessions up over the coming weeks.

Can I share my membership or credits with a friend?

No. Memberships are non-transferable and cannot be shared between clients.

Do I get any guest passes?

Yes! You receive one guest pass per billing cycle. Please note that this pass can only be used for a guest who is a new client to Āhua Studio.

What happens if my membership payment is declined?

If a payment fails, our system will automatically try to process it again after 2 days, and then twice more over the following week. If payment is still unsuccessful after these attempts, all of your future bookings will be removed until your outstanding balance is paid in full.

What is the minimum contract term for a membership?

Memberships require a 6-month commitment unless explicitly stated otherwise at signup.

Can I pause my membership if I go away or get sick?

Yes. You can temporarily pause your membership for a minimum of 2 weeks for travel or medical reasons. You will just need to provide supporting evidence to approval the pause and inform the studio with at least 2 weeks notice via email. We check our emails 3x per week.

How early should I arrive for class?

Please arrive with enough time to set yourself up and prepare before the class begins, at least 5 minutes for ReFIIT, PReFIIT and Reformer Recovery and 10 minutes for LIFT.

What if I have an injury or medical condition?

It is your responsibility to inform your instructor of any injuries, conditions, or physical concerns before class starts. To ensure your safety, instructors have the final discretion on whether it is safe for you to participate in a session.

What happens if the studio cancels or changes a class?

Āhua Studio reserves the right to cancel classes (due to low numbers or instructor unavailability) or change class times if necessary. If this happens, we will make every effort to notify you in advance, and any affected credits will be returned to your account.

Can I bring my children to the studio?

We are a family-friendly studio, but safety is our top priority. Children are welcome but must be kept strictly away from all equipment, including reformers, dumbbells and props.

Who is responsible for watching my child during class?

You are. Studio staff, owners, and instructors are not responsible for supervising children. Children remain the sole responsibility of their caregiver, and any safety risk they pose to themselves or others will be treated as a safety issue.

Are there bathroom facilities?

Yes, we have a bathroom located on-site. It is in a shared premises, so please use it with courtesy and care for others. Note, there is no shower available on-site.

How much notice do I need to give if I need to cancel a session?

We require at least 18 hours’ notice before your scheduled session. If you cancel within this timeframe, your session credit will be safely returned to your account to use another time.

What happens if I miss the cancellation period and cancel late?

If you cancel with less than 18 hours' notice, it is considered a late cancellation, and you will forfeit the credit for that session. If you experience an emergency that prevents you from attending, please notify the Studio or your instructor as soon as possible so we can assist you.
